Get Vaccinated in St. Louis County, Groceries and Gas Are On Us!
Getting vaccinated in St. Louis County has a new benefit — $150 in gift cards for groceries and gas.
Last month, the Department of Public Health (DPH) kick-started a new vaccine incentive program to encourage residents to initiate and complete the vaccine. If an eligible resident begins and completes the vaccination process at a DPH vaccination event, they can register to receive one $100 grocery store gift card and one $50 gas gift card by mail. Only individuals who got their first shot on Sept. 25 or later are eligible.
“We know the toll the COVID-19 pandemic continues to take on our communities, our families, and our businesses,” said Councilwoman Shalonda Webb, a key proponent of the program. “We hope that these gas and grocery gift cards will incentivize more of our neighbors to get fully vaccinated while providing some relief during a difficult time.”
“The Department of Public Health is urging all eligible residents to take advantage of this program and get vaccinated as soon as possible,” said Spring Schmidt, deputy director of the Department of Public Health. “It’s the best way to protect yourself and the entire St. Louis County community.”
To qualify for the incentive, you must live in St. Louis County, be 12 years of age or older, and get fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at a DPH vaccination event starting Sept. 25 or later. Gift cards will be available as long as supplies last.
St. Louis County has developed the tools to make it as seamless as possible to schedule a vaccine appointment through the County’s vaccination event page. Visit revivestl.com to learn more about where and when to get your vaccine!
